Rainbow moonstone, is a beautiful white or translucent material that flashes with a rainbow of colours, from purple-blue to gold, green, pink and red. It draws from the power of the moon goddess, bringing empowerment, peace, tranquillity and happiness. It is part of the feldspar group as is labradorite and I like to think of them as the dark and light. The labradorite giving protection from negative emotions, and the moonstone bringing happiness and empowerment.

Moonstone is one of my favourites stones and is also my birthstone. I enjoy making jewellery with this stone as I love the uniqueness and the individual statements you can make with it. Often I think of this stone when designing for weddings, as the “something blue” that the bride can wear and feel empowered. I also like the idea of brides wearing their wedding necklace and being filled with joy on their special day.

To Cleanse your Moonstone us running water, but be sure not to submerge it for long periods of time. You can also charge it in the light of a full moon, or with selenite.

It can be worn as a ring as it is a fairly hard stone. However, skin creams and harsh chemicals (such as cleaning products) can damage.
